20 August 1980; Truth will set you free.
[Warded to Agatha]

I confiscated a Quibbler from the post and it is on the kitchen table. When you're finished reading it, burn it.

I don't doubt that every word is true. I know that the part about the Foundation Centre is.

[Warded Private]
How can you make a bill that is based upon such faulty science? I'd like to think that the fact that it was tabled was because it was reprehensible, but I think it more likely that it was tabled because of timing and they would have attempted it again in the future.

I become more and more convinced that what I am at least doing the right thing here.

[Warded to Moody]
I've no idea if you are behind the Quibbler's latest article, but I'm going to assume you were aware of it.

They're doing clean-up at the Foundation - an 'official' investigation to ensure that the Quibbler is not 'accurate'. If any of the July mothers or their families attempt to speak out they will be silenced. And I assume your informant is already safe, because I can't imagine they won't look at everyone who potentially had access to those memos.

I received word of it last night. Our informant is safe, but thank you for the warning.

I thought I might have an opportunity to get my hands on a list of the women effected, but I wasn't able to and I don't think I can now without actually drawing attention to myself.

Dear Merlin! Why would that be done? That's just murder, plain and simple.

And that sterilisation bill is obscene. Might as well sterilise all purebloods who produce squibs while they're at it. After all, if they're producing squibs then they must have inferior genes. Wouldn't want them 'contaminating better stock'.

The Quibbler is burned and the ashes have been spread to ensure nothing remains of it.

Because the Dark Lord ordered it? I sometimes wonder what would have happened had Narcissa's baby been born in July, or if Astra had been due sooner. I can't help but wonder how devoted they actually are to the cause. It is one thing to ostracise siblings, but could they kill their own heir?

I somehow doubt you will get Mrs Meliflua to consider that addendum.

Good.
